Description

ELG Gin is a small-batch Danish Gin, which is produced at the Stone Grange Craft Distillery situated in the beautifully surroundings of Lake Esrum north of Copenhagen. One batch makes 1,250 bottles, and each bottle is labelled with the batch and bottle number and personally signed by the master distiller Henrik Elsner. "Elg" is Danish for moose, it is the Master distillers nickname. Henruk uses only three botanicals for his Gin: Juniper, coriander and Danish carrots(!). No more no less. The alcohol base is pure wheat spirit. As the complexity of his recipe is quite reduced, the taste of Elg Gin is classic. It goes well with most tonic waters. An interesting fact is, that the Gin becomes opalescent when diluted with mixers. It is a sign of quality, reflecting the high content of essential oils, which promote the sensory experience. We recommend to garnish Elg Gin with a fresh carrot stick, taking reference to its unique ingredient.

Interesting info about Elg Gin No.1:

ELG GIN has already earned many awards; among others a double gold at CWSA 2017 and Silver Outstanding at IWSC 2016. The Stone Grange Craft Distillery produces as well other spirits, including a cask-aged Gin (Elg No. 2) and a premium Absinthe.
